Grammy-nominated rapper/songwriter Bobby Brackins has released the first part of his EP trilogy today with his To Live For…EP, which is premiered by Billboard. Over the past year, Bobby Brackins has been releasing a steady stream of hits, sharing summer tune “Joy Ride” earlier this week featuring pop sensation Austin Mahone. …To Live For is the first EP of a trilogy, preceding …To Kill For, and …To Die For, and features a powerhouse roster of guest artists, including Ty Dolla $ign, Zendaya, Eric Bellinger, Austin Mahone, Jeremih, G-Eazy, Marc E. Bassy, Wash, and his budding artist, Mina.
As Bobby told Billboard, “To Live For is about feeing alive and making the most out of the limited time that we’re young and spontaneous. My goal for this year was to release a trilogy of EPs – The titles of the subsequent EP’s are To Kill For… and To Die For… Music is what I wake up for every morning of every day. It’s my everything and it’s what I live or, I would kill for, and what I would die for.”
Known for co-writing radio anthems like Ray J‘s “I Hit It First,” Chris Brown‘s “Loyal” and his own “My Jam” featuring Zendaya and Jeremih, Bobby Brackins is known in LA as the go-to songwriter for hit songs. The Bay Area native is an architect of the new California sound, with more recent pen work including Ty Dolla $ign’s E-40-assisted “Saved,” as well as “In My Room,” a collaboration with DJ trio Yellow Claw and DJ Mustard.
