Album: Blaq Tuxedo – Art By Accident

The Sac Town, Grammy-Nominated Brother-Brother Duo Drops Their First Studio Full-Length Under Their Current Moniker

Critical Praise:

“What began as a production and songwriting venture—“LA,” the first track of Ty Dolla $ign’s 2015 debut Free TC, was co-produced by Blaq Tuxedo—has evolved into the pursuit of becoming complete packages—guys who can get it done behind the boards and inside the booth.” – Mass Appeal

The Album:

With a glossy production sheen and a gift for earworm melodies, the versatile singing, songwriting, and production duo Blaq Tuxedo can class up any function. The culmination of several years of songwriting, singing, and production experience, the Logan brothers release ABA (Art By Accident), their first studio release as Blaq Tuxedo. A diverse song collection with rap-n-b bangers of every stripe and flavor, ABA (Art By Accident) is a songwriting clinic. With previously released singles such as the skeletal club banger “Steeler,” and the Frank Ocean-sampling Good Day” joining new highlights such as the seductive slow jam “Patience” and the smoker’s anthem “Us,” ABA (Art By Accident) is a sexy synthesis of modern R&B, for-the-ladies hip-hop, and Alexander O’Neal-esque 1980s electro. An excellent showcase of the brothers’ chemistry and stylistic adaptability with an appearance by E-40 on the remix to “Lit,” ABA (Art By Accident) is available for purchase at the digital service provider of your choice.

Born in Sacramento, Darius and Dom Logan started singing and writing together as young children, honing their skills until moving to L.A. in 2009 to become professional songwriters. After impressing the likes of Usher and Chris Brown with their abilities, the duo became one of the urban industry’s songwriting go-to’s, writing hits for Brown, Meek Mill, Ciara, August Alsina, Omarion, among others, and earning a Grammy nomination in 2014. In 2012, performing under the name D&D, the duo released Unforgettable, their first vocal project. Soon afterward, they changed their name to Blaq Tuxedo, which they felt better encapsulated their sound. ABA (Art By Accident) is the direct follow-up to Tap In, a mixtape released earlier in 2017. An electro-R&B odyssey hosted by DJ CarismaTap In was an ideal appetizer for ABA (Art By Accident) and an excellent piece of work in its own right. ABA (Art By Accident) is currently available for purchase on iTunes and stream on Spotify.
