The Song:

After the release of his first full-length solo street album hosted by Dj Holiday, O.Y.B.A: On Yo Bitch A$$, Dallas, Texas native Big Hud releases a video for featured track “Pull Up On Ya.” The boastful trap-like record premieres via AllHipHop and features verses from Trap Boy Freddy and Yella Beezy. Its no secret that “Pull Up On Ya” is all about hustling, as Big Hud details in the track how he just got some Cali weed and is taking orders, “Is you at the trap or is ya on the corner/ Just tell me then Ima pull up on ya.”

Last month Big Hud put underground Texas trap-heads onto his debut album On Ya Bitch A$$, which premiered via VICE’s Noisey. The heavily tracked project features appearances from artists like Too $hort, Curren$y, Cyhi Da Prynce, Rittz, Beeda Weeda, and host Dj Holiday. The Southern street-styled album is composed of hard hitting rhymes, trap-influenced baselines, and plenty of slang from the 214. The album is a healthy glance into the independent music scene in Texas. Hud states, “Nothing relates more to getting it out the mud, or going from nothing to something than the streets or underworld.”

The Texas representative is no stranger to the music game, having six mixtapes and two EP’s under his belt, the rapper is credited for working with Yellawolf and opening up for legendary artists like Too $hort, Lil Wayne, and Rick Ross. In addition, Hud is currently working on a joint project with East Oakland’s Beeda Weeda entitled The Storm, dropping on September 30th. This forthcoming collaboration is set to include the first single “Hella Turnt,” featuring Too $hort and E-40.
